Pakistan

The conflict between April and June 2009 in Pakistan’s north west frontier province created an exodus of 4 million children and adults seeking safety.
We're helping families returning home, and families who don't have anywhere to go, to rebuild their lives.

Almost 1.6 million people have returned to their homes. Most have lost their crops and livestock in the conflict and are returning home in debt with nothing to re-start their lives. Many schools and health centres have been looted and electricity has not yet been restored in most locations.

We're addressing the needs of displaced families and those who have returned home. We've already reached more than 380,000 people, including 228,000 children, with essential food and supplies, emergency health care and activities to keep children safe.
